Temporary suspension notice of Brick Lane Jamme Masjid due to the Covid-19 outbreak.

Assalamu alaikum

With much sadness, we regret to inform the community that Brick Lane Jamme Masjid will be closed temporarily until further notice due to the Covid-19 outbreak, starting after the completion of Isha salah tonight (19 March 2020). All activities, including daily prayers, Jumuah and classes, will be suspended. Although a very difficult decision to make, it is the most reasonable and safest option at the current moment. The decision was made after much deliberation and in accordance with Islamic principles, government guidelines and expert medical advice. We pray that the closure isn't for very long, and that the global situation improves by the will of Allah. We will continue to monitor the situation and keep the community updated on developments.
